Let’s find out more about Graeme…
What are the highlights of your career so far?
The biggest highlights were when I became a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Surveyor at an early stage of my career in construction.
Having these accomplishments under my belt has opened so many doors and enabled me to take up opportunities outside of contracting – ultimately enabling me to join BWL.
What do you enjoy most about working in construction?
I used to play rugby at a semi-professional level when I was younger and, like rugby, in construction there is a role for everyone.
The best thing about construction is the inclusivity element of the industry – no matter what your background and capabilities, there is a role suited to you.
It’s also one of the few industries where you get to see all your hard work become reality.
Where is your favourite place to eat?
Café Lilli in Norton, which is close to where I live.
I love it because it was the place that my wife and I went to regularly when we returned from overseas – it brings back some great memories.
If you ever get the opportunity to visit - I recommend the chateaubriand (but for one!)
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I think life is simple - I love nothing more than spending quality time with my family.
It’s got to be Sydney.
I spent a year over there in my twenties and I’ll never forget it. It was down to the beach for a BBQ on a weekend, and I lived for it!
