Quantity Surveyor (Darlington)
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced quantity surveyor who will perform a wide range of commercial functions within the Construction Consultancy Services Team.
The role is to support our Director of Construction Consultancy Services and the Legal Services team, as well as the wider business.
The role will include working with customers across the UK on several commercial matters, including; cost consultancy, contract administration, final account settlement, measurement and valuations, applications for payment and dispute resolution.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious quantity surveyor who is keen to progress their career within an exciting business working across the full spectrum of the construction industry.
They will be degree qualified with a RICS accredited degree in an appropriate subject, with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience gained in a consultancy, design or project management environment. Part of their experience must be gained while working with contractors.
They will have a keen eye for detail and take an interest in contract management and construction law. The role requires the successful quantity surveyor to have a real drive for professional development and be sales and customer orientated.

Commercial Property Solicitor (Darlington)
An exciting opportunity within a growing team responsible for a wide range of commercial property work, including acquisitions, sales, developments, joint venture property matters and leasehold. The role is for an NQ-5 years PQE Solicitor to support our Director of Legal Services who leads on Commercial Property matters, whilst taking responsibility for your own files, and advising clients on projects located across the UK.
This position would suit an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor who is keen to progress their career within a firm that is closely involved with its clients' requirements at every stage of the process, advising and consulting with them on a broad range of Commercial Property matters. The role requires the successful Commercial Property Solicitor to have up to a maximum of 4 years PQE, with strong client relationship skills coupled with a real passion to develop your career within the Commercial Property team.
Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (London)
We are looking for a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to report directly to the Director of Legal Services.
The successful candidate will provide first-class legal services to clients who predominately operate in Property Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Facilities Management.
In this role you will provide advice on a range of construction documents, draft comments and amendments in respect of standard form and bespoke construction agreements and depending upon your experience you will lead the contract negotiations on behalf of clients. A portion of this role will also involve the preparation of standard form contracts and the drafting of bespoke amendments or contracts for use in a variety of projects.
Depending on your level of experience, working knowledge of the following will be required: JCT, NEC, EPC, professional service contracts, framework agreements, collateral warranties, performance bonds and parent company guarantees.
You will be a Solicitor qualified in the UK or a Commonwealth common law jurisdiction. We welcome applications from Solicitors from NQ-6 years PQE. For NQ Solicitors, you must have completed a training seat in Construction Law.

You must have strong communication skills and be able to develop long-lasting relationships with clients.
We are looking for an organised and professional Secretary/PA to join the Legal Services Team in London, reporting to the Director.
You will assume the duty of clerical and administrative support to optimise workflow procedures in the office.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Answering calls and redirecting them accordingly
- Managing the agendas of the Legal Services Team and arranging new meetings and appointments
- Developing and maintaining a filing system
- keeping abreast of the levels of office supplies and restocking as necessary
- File and update contact information of employees, customers, suppliers and external partners
- Supporting and facilitating the completion of regular reports
- Making travel arrangements for the team
- Documenting expenses and liaising with the Accounting Team
- Undertaking receptionist duties
This position requires a motivated, well-organised professional who has a natural desire to help and improve efficiencies in an office environment.
You should have proven work experience as a Secretary or Administrative assistant with a high degree of multi-tasking and time management capability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in MS Office.
